Meet Davey's Madras Patchwork Plaid Tote Bag. Handcrafted in India, this tote combines 100% cotton madras patchwork and soft leather trim, paying homage to Davey's heritage and the classic preppy trend.

Features Nantucket red, green and white patchwork madras with leather trim and gold-tone hardware; open top; one rear slit pocket; dual top handles that fit easily over shoulder, 4 brass feet on bottom panel and Davey's embossed leather hangtag with gold detachable chain .

Interior features tan cotton lining; leather embossed Davey's label; three leather trimmed slit pockets and one side zip pocket.

Madras fabric, known for its lightweight and colorful plaid patterns, is traditionally made in and around Chennai, India, formerly known as Madras. This region is the historical origin of the fabric and remains a key production area for authentic Madras. The madras plaids for this bag, have been cut, and handsewn into squares.  Thats why there are irregularites in shape and size.  Each bag is unique and individual. Made in India.
